New Cam blogger Beltaine posts a terse letter from Charlie that reminds me of a bit of info I never got around to publishing, cause things got a little crazy back then.
The relevant passage from Hasting's letter:
For the record, the company known as Neurocam (registered in Australia to
the sole trader Robin Hely) is no longer connected to Neurocam Ltd, the
Neurocam which you have, thus far, been dealing with (registered with New
Zealand Companies Office).
As Hastings mentions, Robin Hely is indeed the sole proprietor of the Australian company Neurocam, dating from September 6, 2000. (That was the bit of info I never got around to posting.)
What I find interesting, though, is Hasting's confirmation that Hely's Australian Neurocam was at one time connected to Neurocam Ltd. in New Zealand. Robin's mentioned that Neurocam had him execute some fairly involved assignments -- perhaps the establishment of this corporate shell was one of them?
*goes off to write an email to Robin...*
