the neurocam files Graham's adjunct site for overly large Neurocam-related files.
who is robert henley? The motherlode. All backstory, all the time. [Henley has apparently claimed this site to be a fabrication of ousted operative Z.] [All but the entry page into this site has been taken down.]
what do you know about lazycozydiary in japan? i speak japanese but i can't read kanji (or katakana or any japanese). is s/he an operative? have you had contact? s/he obviously reads english...i want an email address to correspond with... constance
Babel Fish's translation of the site indicates s/he is an operative. I can't seem to find an email address, either. But it looks like you can leave comments -- you could request an email addy, in English or Romaji.
i tried that- but i just re-tried and was sucessful... i'll let you know if i get a response. i'll also try to get a friend to translate the page- although they are going to be really fucking confused probably... thanks!
This seems like another one of those people who used to go around telling all the other kids that Santa Claus didn't exist: making a radical claim, with very limited supportive evidence.
I, personally, won't believe a word of it until one of these "masters" who has allegely "uncovered the truth" leaves a large box on my doorstep, in which there is none other than Robert Henly himself, drugged with a truth serum and instructed to tell me everything there is to know about Neurocam...
Graham, darling, that is not a vicious swipe at you. If she were cursing you or outright degrading you, that would be a vicious swipe. However we live in a world where different opinions must be tolerated or else they have a word for people that can't tolerate differences of opinions don't they Graham?
I have read her entry and it appears to me that what she is saying is that she has her own theory. It is ok if you don't like it. Truly it is. Thats what makes the world go round dear.
I'm going to tell you just like I have told Graham, you must learn to accept all opinions. If you can't accept opinions other than your own and those of you who are with you on something, then theres a word for people like that. Just so we're perfectly clear. ~K
Yeah noted. Honestly its not meant to be condescending but I can see how it looks that way. However I mean he should use his head and think a little more before coming on here and posting that the person that owns the blog was roasting Lady J and that it was a 'vicious' attack. It was neither. It was whoever's theory. Thats all. I can't stand people that play like a child and run back and forth between people. It reminds me of when I was in high school. Ya know. ~K
Since it obviously didn't translate, I can assure you that my "vicious swipe" comment was left with a certain mischievous glint in my eye.
I didn't actually take any offence to the post, but was merely pointing out that I think it's amusing that, so hot on the heels of certain accusations being directed at me (by others, not by Lady J), Lady J has now become a focus for similar accusations.
You are quite right in your statement that everybody is entitled to their opinion and I admit that, in retrospect, the use of the word "vicious" was probably a bit much.
I can't help but laugh though when I compare Dreamweaver's accusation post to this one he/she wrote a mere week earlier -
Well you know, it is kind of like getting your first computer. You want to see how it all works. You fiddle with it for months maybe, even a year. Surfing the net, theres so much information. Then when you become comfortable with it and you see that its nothing special, you start to become bored. I think thats what she/he/it was referring to. Maybe they've just become bored with it, or perhaps Graham that actually they really think its a bit over the top and think that its just merely a game and they aren't into it. Who knows. Only dreamweaver does.
I concur with Lady J, and will use the ever-elegant language of internet lingo to properly convey my message:
stfu kthxbye.
*ahem* Now that that's squared away. I think there's something more to Dreamweaver's spontaneous cynicism regarding Neurocam. My two cents is that she's throwing something equivalent to a toddler's hissy fit resulting from being denied something it wants by its parents. It's probably because she was denied operative status by Neurocam or failed her application, and is now in denial and won't think of blaming herself, so she has taken a personal vendetta against Neurocam and has decided to attack it in every way she can.
The Age The 12/08/04 newspaper article responsible for the current surge in Neurocam interest.
seen An article in RealTime Arts about a Robin Hely/Peter Burke art installation called Delivery. Some interesting background information on the artists.
cherrie From the official VCA web site, a blurb on Hely's infamous blind-date video.
old habits An Internet Archive capture of a page that lists some of Robin Hely's projects, including Who Is Robert Henley? and Project Neurocam.
Hat's off to you, Lady J.

Hey Lady J,
Have you seen this vicious swipe at both of us? http://icapturethecastle.blogspot.com/2005/01/yawn_22.html
Welcome to the conspiracy!

So I'm a lab-rat to throw off the masses, now am I?
Juicy and vicious, indeed.

*raises eyebrow*
I don't get it... if you're "behind the curtain", where is all the stuff that *isn't* within the public domain?
And why would you be trying to uncover the people behind Neurocam?

I'm not disagreeing with your point, but you were laying it on a bit thick with the "darling," the "dear," and condescending what-have-yous.
